I really love this book, for me this is very informative for someone who is not a Muslim and doesn't know what's happening in Syria. With this book, it opens my eye to the reality and what might be happening to other country that are currently in war. I also love the characters, how they never give up despite all of the challenges they're been through. They didn't let the hope died and instead they keep fighting for their beloved homeland. There might be some graphics but it just show how cruel people can be because of greed and misuse of power.
Graphic: Child death, Genocide, Gun violence, Grief
Moderate: Death, Panic attacks/disorders, Sexual assault, Torture, Blood, Death of parent, War
