I saw someone mention that this book was similar to a CW plot…. And listen, it lowkey is but it’s also better.
I surprisingly LOVED this. I need to be less hesitant of books in the 3.5-3.75 range of ratings because I enjoyed this so much. I loved Charlotte & Jamie together. As friends and as a ship. I love their banter. I actually enjoyed being in Jamie’s point of view. Usually I prefer third pov but I love that this book was in first, and I loved charlottes appearance at the end. Both of their voices are so fun . I’m continuing with this series immediately.
My complaints:
- I dislike the rhetoric that dobson deserved redemption. He deserved to pay for his crime in prison. He was a rapist
-some of jamies thoughts I didn’t like or agree with, and now I can barely remember them so clearly they weren’t a huge deal. They were along the lines of dumb things teenage boys believe in, usually having to do with girls in their life.
I’m not very versed in Sherlock, except the BBC show that I watched 8+ years ago. So maybe if I were I’d have a different opinion on this. But regardless, an enjoyable read.
