The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel van der Kolk
4.0
This was written through the lens of a western white man, and it shows. Some bits haven’t aged well, but I think the book is still a valuable read.
If you’ve experienced trauma, this is a tough read. I had to break it up over months. This book is a near continuous telling of different trauma survivors stories and their different treatments.
