Trying Not to Try: The Art and Science of Spontaneity by Edward Slingerland

3.0

Mostly historical scholarship relating to ancient Chinese philosophies, with some pieces of cognitive science thrown in. Inspiring in its own way, but light on practical advice. I feel like I got valuable things out of it, but I'm not sure whether people without an existing background in e.g. meditation would benefit much.
