The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel van der Kolk

Did not finish book. Stopped at 7%.
This book is supposed to be for people with PTSD. The first patient described is a Vietnam war veteran. It is described that this man, after his friend was killed in the war, went on a rampage in a neighbouring Vietnamese village and killed a bunch of people then r*ped a woman. This book is incredibly insensitive toward women, Vietnamese people, and people who have been r*ped. To describe what this man did from an empathetic perspective in a book for people with  PTSD (many who have been r*ped themselves) is disgusting. Half the readership is alienated within the first chapter.
