This was my kind of YA novel! Stevie gets to attend the high school of her dreams, Ellingham Academy, a private school in Vermont for innovators, kids who thrive with more creative independence than traditional schooling allows.

It's her dream school because, well, there was a murder there decades ago, and Stevie is an aspiring detective and she is going to solve. this. case. As she works towards that goal, a classmate turns up dead and suddenly, she's trying to get to the bottom of two mysteries.

It's got adventure! It's got twists & turns! It's got incredibly real teenage moments like insecurities & bonding moments with friends, worries over cute boys & frustrations with parents. I loved it - highly recommend!
