A History of My Brief Body by Billy-Ray Belcourt
4.0
“We didn’t have time to hang our grief up to dry”
This book is a collection of Billy-Ray Belcourts thoughts, feelings and experiences through the lens of political injustice and through the hands of a colonised body.
It is powerful, strong and important with great quotes. However I feel like some parts were just a wierd mix of the most poetic thing of all time and talking about sex with very problematic men. Which was quite the contrast.
This book was like nothing I had ever read before.
If I see you reading this I will think you’re a cultured and cool queen!
