It was not too bad, I guess. I believe this is my first fae fantasy and I've got to admit, fae fantasy might not be my cup of tea. I don't find fae creatures intruiging or attractive at all, to be honest. The romance is kinda insta-love. Isobel was already using the word 'love' to describe what she was feeling for the love interest quite early on in the book, and I just don't find it believable. There was barely any build up.

However, the writing itself is quite beautiful and atmospheric. Easy to read too since this book is quite short. If only the plot is not focused too much on the romance and more on the adventure, survival and magic system, maybe this book would be much more entertaining.
