The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga's Ethical Practice by Deborah Adele
5.0
As the author states, these practices "...are not a moral positioning with hard and fast rules. They will not tell you what to believe or what to seek in your life for your own fulfillment. Instead they will equip you to meet each situation with flexibility, understanding, and wisdom"
That there kind of sums up my life goals, really. I read this as part of a class run at my yoga studio with a weekly discussion and exploration of each chapter. I enjoyed that, but I do look forward to delving back in on my own into some of the chapters and being able to focus on some of the specifics she covers to exercise a personal practice of these tenets.
Would recommend to any/all who are interested in learning to live life "skillfully" whether you're into yoga or not.
