I’m obsessed. Flawless is everything I crave in a romance. Heart, heat, angst, and banter that crackles. Elsie Silver delivers a swoony small-town, cowboy, enemies-to-lovers, forbidden, forced proximity, masterpiece.
Summer Hamilton is the kind of heroine I instantly loved, smart, determined, deeply empathetic, and struggling to stay professional while babysitting the infuriatingly attractive Rhett Eaton, a cocky bull rider whose grumpy charm is impossible to ignore. Their chemistry? Off. The. Charts.
Rhett is pure gruff cinnamon roll. He’s chaotic, stubborn, sexy, and carrying the kind of emotional weight that makes you want to reach through the pages and hug him... or yell at him... or both. He falls for Summer first, and hard. Watching him unravel around her, fiercely protective while still so unsure of his own worth, was everything.
The tension and angst had me fully feral. Every shared glance, late-night confession, jealous moment, and heated encounter felt earned. Their journey isn’t easy, it’s messy, real, and raw, but the payoff? So satisfying. Summer’s strength and softness perfectly balance Rhett’s grit and vulnerability. I especially adored the emotional intimacy in their quieter moments. And don’t get me started on the cowboy hat rule, my jaw was on the floor.
This book also delivers on family dynamics, trauma, healing, and learning to choose each other in spite of fear. Rhett and Summer’s story broke me and then stitched me right back together with love and longing.
If you love tortured cowboys, emotionally layered heroines, and slow-burns with explosive payoff, Flawless is a must-read. I highlighted half the book and hugged it when it ended. Rhett Eaton, you’ll always be my champion. Yeehaw.
