Incredible dive into the history and mind of not only a serial killer on death row, but also the lives and experiences of several women connected to his life. Doesn’t lean heavily on explicit violence, but still contains some absolutely gut-wrenching chapters. No “flat” characters to be found in the main cast. An empathetic and emotional exploration of fate, family, justice, and women’s empowerment, among other themes. Easily a “must read” for me.
