Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley was wonderfully written and I enjoyed every single piece of it!!! It deals with family, friends and school.
Daunis the main character has to deal with a lot of stuff. Such as the death of her uncle. Her Grandma's illness. The end of her Hockey Career. College choices and so much more.
I loved how the author wrote all the characters and their part of the story. I loved all the Indian Culture and words and customs. I loved how this story takes place in Michigan where I'm from!
This is an intense story so be aware of drugs, rape, cheating, lying, and drinking. A+
