Oh my. Weird and ethereal and aching and sharp and queer and horrifying.

Extreme lengths to gain success, intensity and burning of athleticism, yearning to transcend one's identity and circumstances, mothers-daughters, coaches-students, friends-but more?, misunderstood sense of self and coming of age and high school sucks.

I tore through those last five chapters.
