The Silence of Bones by June Hur
4.0
This book got better and better as I read. I truly did not know where it would end up or what would happen, and it kept surprising me at every turn.
As someone who loves studying Korean history, this book was a pleasure especially because of parts of Korean history it highlighted that I never knew about. I didn’t know about the damos before, or the politically infused religious persecution at that time.
Dark, mysterious, historical, perfect for tea and rain and nights.
