For a book that's only 320 pages, this took me a solid week to get through which is uncommon since I usually read a whole book in 1 go. I just got bored and uninterested halfway through and was a bit of a slug to get through. 

And I'll be honest, I had no idea this was an Emma retelling until I looked at other reviewers which in hindsight makes way more sense now, with characters and motivations
