Lovelovelove books that combine stories, history, information, and recipes (Jennifer McLagan is another favourite). This one is exceptional. Read the whole thing, and have started amassing the stuff I need to step up my bread-making game. (My name is Baker, after all...)

I dunno about you, but it's hard to express the wonderful feeling of making and sharing great bread, and this book communicates that in spades. And, y'know, makes you really hungry. :)
