I'm not even 25, but I guess I'm too old to read a ya novel like this one.

Everything felt so shallow; the plot almost, almost had some depth but it was quickly brushed off by slapping a cringey joke and a qUiRKy remark to make things easier all of a sudden every time it felt like we're finally getting somewhere with the drama. And then the serious parts came so randomly and ended equally abruptly and you just had to go with the flow, never really getting to process anything.

There were conflicts that had real potential, conversations that would've been so beautiful to write, but it all was summarized in less than a page and an awkward joke at the end.

The characters had 0 chemistry, they were just horny and dtf. That's not chemistry. Chemistry implies real tension, meaningful looks and CONVERSATIONS, not just a line or two about the most random thing and then you are kissing.
The main character is so annoying too. I get it that she is grumpy and edgy and emo, but the execution was so horribly cliche and shallow that I grew to dislike her throughout the entire book.

And it's such a minor thing, but it did it for me. You make these two talk about movies in which the two lesbian lovers eventually break up or one of them dies, and how they don't want to end up the same. And then they break up in the end anyway. That just pissed me off.

I'd say that this would be a good book for a teenager, but I would be wrong, because there's too many mentions of alcohol and sex for it to be teen rated, but also too boring and lacking substance for it to be considered adult fiction.

Waste of time.
