Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson

5.0

I'm almost as excited to review this book as I was reading it. Maureen Johnson, had me truly and deviously hooked from the start. Having said that, I was a little annoyed the mystery practically hadn't been solved by the end. It hinted, but it was too busy setting up the next book.

Now, if I'd been like the book was meh then that ending would have sealed the deal of a solid 3 star, but that wasn't the case.

The mystery was intriguing but what made this novel book cocaine was it's characters. They brought humour, relatability, enigma and whole other bunch of words that are escaping me.

The story never lost my attention, never made me want to skip, I was just happy to read until it was over and fantasize about starting the next one.

And so that's how I will remain... I just need to add the next book to the 40 + other books waiting to be picked up.
