This book was boring. I don’t find Stevie to be a compelling main character. 🙊 A part that annoyed me was the kiss scene because there was absolutely no build up for David and her to be a thing. I think David and Stevie have no chemistry. Then, when they break up/ stop kissing she is tying herself in knots like a pretzel over here!! Over a man you barely know?? The current murder happened at half way but until then it’s just atmospheric. I didn’t really find the Haynes murder to be that engaging but it probably because the ‘romance’ overshadowed it. I was able to guess who the killed was which was fun. Lastly, Nate is under rated. I will not be reading the rest of the series.
Graphic: Kidnapping, Murder
Moderate: Panic attacks/disorders
