This book is clickbait in book form.
I picked up this book because the idea of an American monarchy sounded super cool, and I wanted to know how the history of the U.S. Would be like if it had a royal family. But guess what! This book is 5% world-building and 95% bad tropes and unlikeable characters. And the ending is so obviously written so that the author can add more books to the series.
I gave this book 2 stars instead of 1 because of the second sister and the bodyguard (aka the only characters I could stand)
