Chi Spacca: A New Approach to American Cooking by Ryan Denicola, Carolynn Carreno, Nancy Silverton

4.0

I started checking out cookbooks from my library, and I’ve decided if I cook from them, then I’ll count it towards my reading challenge for the year!

This is a beautiful book with stunning recipes. Like many restaurant cookbooks, it does feel like it doesn’t exactly translate to home cooking, so I adapted the recipes I wanted to make, and I combined elements from other recipes where I wanted (either others in this book, other recipes generally, or my own modifications). But that’s the fun of making a restaurant‘s recipes at home is you can make it exactly what you want rather than having to go with the menu item as is. And when we can travel again, it would be fun to eat at Chi Spacca, now that we’ve had this introduction!
