4.5

4.5 stars! I had NO IDEA how much I was going to love this going in! Right off the bat, the prologue reminded me of The Swan Princess, which is MY FAVORITE MOVIE so I was hooked right away. Other parts of the story reminded me of Aladdin (I'm obsessed with Disney okay), which was also so fun. Overall it was an incredibly unique and refreshing YA fantasy debut, and I cannot wait for the sequel! I ship Adraa and Jatin SO HARD and I just loved all the twists and turns and heart-clutching moments in this story. Would highly recommend!

SpoilerI love that Jatin made Adraa a potion for her period like THAT IS A DREAM MAN RIGHT THERE. And I just about melted when Adraa realized she was in love with him, it was so freaking sweet and genuine. And then WHEN THEY TELL EACH OTHER THEY LOVE EACH OTHER FOR THE FIRST TIME IT WAS SO SWEET AND UNCOMPLICATED AND I LOVE IT AND WE NEED MORE UNCOMPLICATED, PURE YA ROMANCES
