This book took me much longer to read than normal, mainly because of the tough content matter and the fact there’s so much information to digest. The information is presented in a way that’s easily accessible, and it’s clear it’s well researched. I think this is something important to read if you’ve been through a trauma or love a person who has dealt with it. It does discuss case studies of trauma patients though, so check content warnings before reading!
Graphic: Child abuse, Sexual assault, Car accident, and War
Moderate: Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Medical content, Medical trauma, and Abandonment
