I am giving this book 2.5 stars because I think the author really did a good job at making sure the readers see Gilda's brain and the effects of someone living with OCD. Additionally, I think the writing is good and emotional however I did not like the book.
I did not like it because of the way it made me feel, I suppose it was Emily Austin's way of having the reader understand the depth of the disorder.
I didn't like feeling stressed and sad for Gilda and just wanting to help but at the same time trying to remind myself that it is a book and the characters are fiction. I suppose the reason I felt so emotional towards Gilda's story is because I know there are others who feel the same way as her and are dealing with having OCD and depression and anxiety, and I wish I could change that.
