This was my first time reading a novel in verse and woah! There’s so much that can be analyzed within the text that you don’t always realize at first glance. Acevedo does an amazing job of capturing the conflicting emotions and events of young adulthood, the trials and tribulations that come along with it,  and the daunting yet relieving process of self-exploration and self-discovery as an adolescent! This is definitely a book young adults should be encouraged to pick up!
