A retelling of Cinderella with a fun, badass twist. Following tradition, all girls/women were treated with little value, required by the King to attend the ball & be chosen to live a life of servitude (either through forced marriage or labour). But our lesbian heroine was having none of that.

The story was fill with audacious moments; characters needing to challenge the shackle of long-held beliefs, perpetuated by fear. The fast pace flow of the story tapered off somewhere at the centre where the plot lulled a bit for me. But the ending more that makes up for it; it was a bravada fit for celebration: Sophia & Constance were heroines deserving of admiration.
