Tarnished Are the Stars by Rosiee Thor

5.0

This book was SO good!! I really could not put it down.

Themes I loved: found family, parental approval, self acceptance

Character stuff I loved: all three main characters were super well developed and individual, their relationships with their parental figures were realistically crafted, and I couldn’t help but root for all of them, even when their goals conflicted

Plot stuff I loved: without spoiling anything, each perspective managed to be compelling and always left enough intrigue/suspense to keep me eager to learn more. I couldn’t wait to see how everything intersected, and when it did I was not disappointed.

Representation I loved: The aromantic/asexual representation was awesome! It’s so rare in fiction to ever see the words on page, and this book exceeded my expectations in how they represented it. The sapphic representation was also great to see, and I enjoyed it a lot.

In short: I definitely recommend this one!!
