Girl Gurl Grrrl: On Womanhood and Belonging in the Age of Black Girl Magic by Kenya Hunt

challenging reflective medium-paced
I really enjoyed this essay collection on Black womanhood, motherhood, and more. Though the essays cover heavy topics, including police brutality, racism, and miscarriages, they also include love, community, and Black Girl Magic. Some of my favorite essays were Girl, Notes on Woke, and Bad Bitches. I also liked the essays by other writers, such as Upon Reflection by Fumni Fetto, Just for Me by Freddie Harrel, and On Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams.
