This book definitely was helpful in learning more about my sleep profile and learning better strategies to be more successful at night. I have a chronic mental illness that affects my sleep a lot. The less sleep you get and the less patterned your sleep is the worst mental illness symptoms will get.
This book also has a lot of self-help live changing wisdom that I would caution you to be skeptical about. For the chronotypes that are dolphins (me) and wolves, Breus doesn't really offer solutions other than rigid schedules designed to conform to the 9 to 5 lifestyle. I don't think these are the only approaches. This book isn't the end of developing a passion for better sleep but it is a great jumping-off point.
