Loved the first few pages! Had an interesting style that I was excited about, but that feeling did not last long. Purplest prose I've ever read and the bits that aren't are incredibly weird (which isn't a bad thing on its own! I like weird! Just not 'it shouldn't be gross to bleed or shit in the pool bc we pee in the pool all the time ' kind of weird or 'pretend my vagina is a close friend, name her Penelope, and shove a tampon in there in an incredibly sexual way' kind of weird). There are a lot of sentences that on first glance sound very profound, but on second reading mean absolutely nothing, and some that have multiple conflicting metaphors. Probably perfect for some people; not my cup of tea.
