This book was an emotional reollercostater. It made me realized how similar black and latina girls grew up with immediately being treated like adults once they become teenager. I really didn't like her mother and I felt her development was too quick. Other than that, it was an amazing read.
It's a good thing her mother wasn't my mother because we would've been fighting if she burned my journal.
Moderate: Child abuse
