For the beginning part of this book I was less than impressed. The pacing was off. But the second half made up for it! I was hooked and invested in Sloane’s story. I was very interested in the world of Nagea and the Orisha Gods. 
Warning this book has tons of triggers and leaves a bittersweet feeling. Can’t wait for the second book
