Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin

4.0

**TW**
These books contain details of violence, false love, death, forced/arranged marriage. If you are sensitive to any of the above topics, these books may not be for you.

Blood and Honey continues on from the events of Serpent and Dove. We follow Lou, Reid and their little gang as they search for a way to defeat Morgane.

Something I did notice was that there wasn't as much banter in this book as there was in Serpent and Dove. I loved the banter and there was some in Blood and Honey but not as much.

Lou... She's an ICON. I love her. Ain't no one gonna tell me I can't love her. She's feisty, snarky, smart and independent. Once she's made up her mind, you can't change it.

Reid is the responsible one in this group. But he's also the gullible one (in my opinion), he believes everything he's told without truly giving it much thought.
I did enjoy - **SPOILER FOR SERPENT AND DOVE** - learning more about Reid's magic and how he's trying to accept it. I'm still curoius as to HOW he has magic. From what we've been told only females were supposed to have magic? But now Reid has it and so do other male figures? Why is it that just women are magical?

I've seen some people point out that this book wasn't necessary. You're right, it wasn't. But that doesn't stop me from loving it. Unnecessary books are necessary in my reading life so this book just made my day/life/whatever you wish to insert here.

I personally loved this book and it's storyline. I am quite confused about the end. I have no idea (zilch, nada, my mind is blank) what's going to happen next. All I know is that I need a book 3!

Also...another thing I know is that I'm mad. I'm real mad and hurt by you, Shelby Mahurin. Was that particular scene necessary!??? Must you have done that!??? AHH I sobbed. You broke me and I'm mad at you for doing so.
