The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami

3.75

In the wake of a break up with his wife, the story gets very weird. The protagonist, in his effort to reconstruct his shattered self, struggles with what is real and what isn’t. Ultimately, I think the real story is his attempt to win her back over many years.
Most of the book was great but the ending was rushed which seems unnecessary in such a long book.
