A slightly more unique regency romp! I'm struggling how to rate this one.
I did enjoy following Georgiana through the ups and down of regency life, however there was something that felt missing from the final half of the book. At times the plot felt like there suddenly was a lot of depth, only to fizzle out moments later.
The characters didn't quite reach 'loveable' in the way that you end up forgiving them for their wrongdoings, so I personally felt unable to empathise with many of them.
There were a few minimal yet unique hints towards the difficulties of living as a person of colour within a rigid, patriarchal and racist regency society; however these hints felt very rushed.
All in all it was an enjoyable book, and I did thoroughly enjoy the main romance story, however it didn't feel like the characters were done justice with their storylines or their endings.
