A new favourite. This book is so beautifully written and so well executed. I cried at the end and it has left me feeling so incredibly emotional and even more connected to Shakespeare and his works.

Right I am off to have a good cry and possible pick up a Shakespeare play...

A collection of three short stories. The first covering mob violence and how one can feel after partaking. The second a very eerie and odd story. The last a fleeting story of betrayal.

I enjoyed reading this little collection and it has reminded me of how much I love John Steinbeck’s writing and it’s ability to transport and transfix you.

This was such an interesting and eye opening story to read and learn about. The strength and resilience of these women despite all they endured is more than inspirational. And do not get me started on the treatment by their employers because it will reignite the anger at me that I felt throughout reading this! I am so glad that this story has been told and written in such a wonderful format by Kate Moore - this is one I can see myself recommending for years to come!!

After discussing this book in detail with Charr (Thoroughly Enjoyed Books) I am in a clear mindset of how to review this. As a graphic memoir Ellen Forney does a fantastic job of showing the reader her feels during different episodes of her bipolar disorder as well as showing the effects (mainly negative in Ellen's experience) of medication. This was also very informative in regards to the many different types and kinds of medication that can be prescribed to those with bipolar and resulting effects of these.

OMG so much love for this series, the world, and the characters.

I adore the beautiful slow burn relationship in this series, the storyline and imagery in this book was SO BEAUTIFUL and I cried so much at the end!! And I thought it was super clever how part 1 & 2 weaved together at the beginning. One getting into this I just couldn’t put it down.

I kind of don’t want to read the last book because I am not ready for this story to be over!

Pet is written so beautifully and really explores some interesting themes and representation such a monsters, corruption, sex and gender, love, family, punishment, and abuse. There were so many passages and quotes that really stood out to me. I would have loved to read this story at a young age as the premise it so cool and it would definitely of ignited a love for reading in me...it even has at this age to be honest!!
