This was a very captivating read. I finished it in mostly one sitting and loved every moment. More themes of age and youth unfold like in Dandelion Wine, but not in a repetitive way. In a totally different way alongside darkness and joy and mystery. Even though I read Dandelion Wine recently, this did not bore me at all. It was filled with the same nostalgia and similar questions but was driven by a mysterious plot and contrasting new characters.

I loved this. Super fast read and very compelling. Beautiful prose, beautiful characters. Loved loved loved. Maybe too existential for an airplane read though (I know from experience). A good comfort of your own home book. Although it may make you want to get out of your own home and do something nature-related once you're done with it.
