When Gracie Met The Grump by Mariana Zapata

Go to review page

This one (and the other newer books form Maria Zapata) is not on par with her older books.

This is an enjoyable book but nothing special.

For fans of superhero storylines.

It has all the tropes that you can expect (and have already seen in other books of hers).

The confrontation scene after she goes shopping managed to make me cry both times that I've read it.
Where We Started by Ashley Munoz

At the beginning this book made me happy but it was too juvenile and I ended up hate reading it.
The tropes of first love, second chance and boy obsessed are not loved by me by any chance and this book was based on them.

Not a bad book but for people much younger than me

This was such a wonderful conclusion!
I adore her books set in South America, the heroine was strong and the hero dreamy (stern and loving).
This finale made me very happy

This is like a old school romance but written nowadays.

The sex scenes were more detailed and varied than is some of the other books. Nice.

I'm very sad about this book.

When I started reading it I really thought I had found a new favourite but it ended up not bein very good.

It read like a omegaverse fanfiction. With short chapters, not very good pacing (engaging at the beginning, very fragmentary in the middle and the end occupied too many chapters), and a plot that near the end was pretty scattered. The ending was a total mess. I had to force myself to keep on reading.

I truly disliked the romantic relationship: I liked how they started as true enemies but I didn't believe that they fell in love at all. They just started to have sex and being super attracted and clingy due to their designation, I didn't believe in their love at all and the marriage proposal was laughable.

SPOILERS There is also the trope of: he's an omega even if he's human. And also: let's turn him into a shiter!
Both tropes I do bot like

4.5

This one was a blast!
Very funny and chill. I preferred the first part: plotless, humourous and tropey.
Such a fun fantasy romance read.
I am eager to keep on reading

So this was not bad at all it simply had tropes that don't really do it for me. And I did not like the world/how people behaved but it's a personal preference
You might like it if you like multiple people s scenes

This wasn't bad at all but it didn't do anything for me either. The relationship was not it for me

Halfway through and I'm tired. This book is too long, not very exciting and the hero is too smitten at this point. Moreover their personal anf familial issues are too repetitive and their relationship is quite slow.
It has a hint of new adult flavour.
Not a very bad book but not the kind that I love.

I'm a bit sad because I didn't love this one bit. A decent read but not the usual cate c wells greatness. I should have loved this due to me liking all the tropes (marriage in trouble, pregnancy, rough sex, class difference) but it didn't make me feel a thing and I didn't enjoy the rough and degrading sex scenes (and I loved Degradation by Stylo Fantome).
A pity because Wells is one of my favourite romance authors
