I did not take away a lot from it. I will come back to it when I have the capacity to understand more of it.

The writing is easy to absorb. I had to struggle with keeping the main concepts in mind. I was able to understand the individual parts of what he was saying but faced difficulty in understanding those parts with the whole. Personally I face this issue with other academic books as well. It is very interesting and gives you something to think about. It has a variety of anecdotes that made the reading the book a lot of fun.

I went in thinking this was a research based book but it’s mostly self help. If you have basic financial literacy then this book won’t add much to your knowledge. The author is conservative in a traditional sort of way and not the narrow minded or bigoted way. He cares  about the environment a lot. One thing I appreciated was that the advice was very specific. Most self help books are very vague. The author here tells you which shops to but from, what colour to choose, what cut is good etc. If you’re from America this will be more useful. I’m neither American nor aspire to be old money. So it was mostly interesting information that I don’t care about.

It’s an enjoyable book. The writing was nice and the characters were loveable. There were some parts that could be better but I think that’s a matter of personal preference. Overall it’s a good book and if you want something that sucks you in and keeps you entertained without thinking too much, this book is good.

It was a therapy session. And just like that it was reflective, sad and frustrating (in a good way). I almost forgot that she is published writer with a successful book that has been translated in many languages. That’s the definition of success in my head but her thoughts made me think ‘ya same’.

I did not want it to end. I want to start it again after just finishing it. The ending was cathartic for me for some reason. But it was so good. It was like I was wrapped up in this world and it feels painful to leave it behind.
