girl, who taught you to be so silent?
to fold you opinion back into your mouth so neatly?
This poetry collection is amazing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a feminist read.
It is marketed at as a feminist read for women of colour, however I think anyone wanting to read some feminist, especially women would love this. I feel like if I was a woman of colour I would adore this even more, nonetheless it’s five stars from me.

”They look better on the floor”
“So do my knees”

The plot of this book was very meh. The writing wasn’t all that great. But the sexy times were 👌🏻
If you want a good new adult, male-male romance, that you’re reading for the sex scenes, this is bomb. If you want something with a bit of substance to it as well, maybe skip it.

The lead up was very rudimentary, but that ending!?!?!? I am definitely continuing on

“Perfection was a surface thing. The epidermis. Cut a few layers deep, you begin to see some darker shades. Cut to the bone—pitch black.”
4/5
This was one of the craziest things I've ever read, I'll be honest. I definitely found myself reading until the end trying to figure out what was going on. And I didn't guess the ending, which is not typical for mystery thrillers for me.
The one thing I will say is that I don't understand why this needs to be a trilogy, I think it could've ended with the first one and it would've been fine. I'm sure I'll eventually carry on with the series, but I'm not dying to read the next one.

This is a book I don't know how to review because I'm still trying to sort out how I feel about it...

“The world isn't binary. Everything isn't black or white, yes or no."

First things first, I adore that we never find out Riley's gender assignment at birth.
And now, for the review. I loved this book! I think it's really important, and I'm glad it exists. I can't speak for the representation, but I feel as though it did a good job of explaining gender-fluidity. I also got some ~serious~ [b:Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda|19547856|Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (Creekwood, #1)|Becky Albertalli|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1402915678s/19547856.jpg|27679579] vibes, a little too much at times where it felt as though I was just reading that book.

Audiobook: Highly Recommend
Okay, before everyone comes for me, I didn't hate this book. However, I am not on the fanwagon as hard as everyone else. First of all, fantasy is not my thing, I don't ever enjoy it as much as other genres. That being said I have a lot of thoughts on this one.
Let's start with what I enjoyed.
I think the heist was done really well, I found myself really engaged during that part of the story and pretty well understanding everything that was happening.
Normally, I hate flashbacks, but I actually found them useful and not too long in this story.
I also really enjoyed the characters, which I personally think is what carries this book, and I think they are fairly well written. Also I would die for Jesper and Wylan.
Now, for the downfalls.
I felt as though A LOT of things were used in this book as a plot device. I don't want to say what because I think it'll spoil parts of the story, but I definitely think sometimes things were done just to be shocking, which is not something I like.
I also think it took waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to get to the actual heist, there was a great deal spent on getting to the Ice Court, which I think could have been shortened.
Final Thoughts:
I am definitely continuing on, because the ending had me shook. I will most likely listen to the audiobook of Crooked Kingdom as well because I found Six of Crows to be really well done. I definitely recommend the audiobook if you wanna read this!
