A little slow, and I guessed that one big twist at the end, but Cain's motives were belivable and he was an interesting character. I wish we had other perspectives though. Love the concept and it was entertaining, just not as thrilling or atmospheric as I expected it to be. Also, a minor issue, but there were alot of Harry Potter references...

I LOVED this story, it felt very tense the entire time, but in a fun way. Really makes you think about how scientific advancements would affect our world while also DINOSAURS. The girl was annoying in the book tho, makes me thankful for that particular change the movie made.

This was a re-read from over 4 years ago... I loved the time travel element, Gabi reacted to things as I imagine a teen girl would XD. She wasn't overly weak like some girl characters in books, but the battles were realistic and she sustained actual damage. The time travel part didn't really make sense to me, but I enjoyed the period-accurate aspects and actually learned some stuff about the time period. It took a bit for the plot to kick in, but it gave me time to get to know the characters better, and once the plot did kick in it felt fast-paced. The audio made her sound petulant and had awful fake accents but scence I remembered how I read it at first it didn't bother me too much, but if this is your first time reading DON'T LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBOOK. One thing I really didn't understand was how she kept reffering to the guys like "he was definitely a man, unlike MoDeRn MeN ew"And insulted nerdy guys(on multiple occasions I think?), and it was kinda annoying. If i don't like nerds than that wont be an issue.

I initially read this book when I was 10, now I'm coming back 6 years later and remember why I liked this so much. The first time I consumed the audio in a few days, this time it was 2 XP. I thoroughly enjoy the worldbuilding and politics, Nemisis is awesome... my mom just read the first book too(for the fisrt time), she said Nemisis reminds her of me because of how she talks :o. I loved the part where she adopts Deadly >:3 he is such a dog.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The twists were twisty, the suspense was REAL and I flew through this book! The worldbuilding was intracite and the characters were fun. Although I couldn't relate to the family aspect I respect how it breaks the mold of most YA books. The only reason it wasn't a 5-star is because my threshold for that is very high, only books I get seriously obsessed with get 5 stars.

This was a satisfactory sequel to the Wonderland Trials. We start off where the first book paused, in the middle of the trials and attempting to figure out what is going on behind the scenes. None of the reveals were extremely suprising, but it was a fun read. I love the idea a hunger-games esque twist on one of my favourite (fairy tales? Old novels? Classics? Idk the word 😅). I especially enjoyed the relationship between Alice and Chess- although romance tends to annoy me in books, it was actually nice to see how they genuinely care for eachother, and yet they still have fun, sarcasm-ladden banter... Anyway, although I didn't find it particularly impactful, I obviously enjoyed it :)
