Such a cute romance! It's the perfect summer read for the beach, pool etc. Though this book is a bit on the longer side, it flies by really fast. I think some people may look for more lighthearted romances for the summer, and this is not that. It has some heavier topics of family trauma and more. If you are a lover of lighthearted romances for the summer or just in general this really wouldn't be the best pick for you. However, I love all romances including this one! This is my first book from this author which in hindsight wasn't the best decision, but I saw lots of booktubers reading this book and I had to pick it up! I will 100% pick up the previous two books and read those later this year. <3
Such a good thriller. I read the agggtm trilogy and was thoroughly impressed with her writing. Especially for a YA thriller, I found that all the details given that seemed like nothing ended up being significant and tie into everything else in the end. This book is no different. Actually, I prefer it. The ending had me jolting straight up in my bed and gasping for my life. This book gaslighted me, gagged me and literally everything else. Read this.
3.75 stars rounded up. Some context- I don't think I would've picked this book up unless I read "Every Summer Ever" (previous book, review to come). Do you know when a book is SO good it leaves a hole needing to be filled. Well, this was the book I picked up to "fill that hole" if that makes sense. I mainly reached for this because it's a childhood friends to lovers' trope and I adore that trope, so I thought I'd give it a try. Firstly, this book is total Wattpad core. It's just not a great portrayal of the childhood friends to lover's trope. Additionally, the characters were kind of weird. The fmc was really positive in an unrealistic way, and the mmc had just about 5 different personalities he interchangeably used on a day-to-day basis. There were also some major plot holes in that were never really touched on/forgot about. The only thing that saved this book is that it was INCREDIBLY sad. I love a sad book and just because of that, this book earned .25 stars.
AHHH! I absolutely love this book. i love the twilight series!
I won't lie, I watched the movie when I was a kid, so I knew the plot well... but that doesn't make it a bad book. At the time of reading this, I didn't really remember the movie that well --specifically the acting. So after rereading, I watched the movie again. And oh mi gosh... the acting is horrible
But that's not what we're for. We're here for the book review, right? Ok.
So, I found the romance really likeable, and I honestly found myself kicking my feet and giggling in my bed while reading this. It was cute, and Edward was swoon-worthy. The plot was basic, I'm not explaining it--you know it. It was better than the movie by a long shot. There were more scenes, more lore that I honestly didn't know. But I really liked this book.
