Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
2.0
The particular audiobook I listened to was dramatized with only dialogue spoken and had sound effects, so I would gather I missed a certain experience that reading would have offered, besides the obvious act of literally reading with my eyes. That said, I can't say I'm very curious to read the text. Nothing wrong with it, per se, I just didn't connect to it; I didn't grow up with it, so it doesn't mean much to me as an adult reading it for the first time.
The Golem's Eye by Jonathan Stroud

I still prefer Lockwood & Co., but this is a perfectly enjoyable series and I plan to finish the series.
The Creeping Shadow by Jonathan Stroud

Every book in this series truly seems to surpass it's predecessor. Book 5's release won't come soon enough for me.
A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson

After something like 8 years, I'm finally saying goodbye to this series. It's a very bittersweet end, on multiple levels. It wasn't always a perfect journey, but it's one of my most treasured stories.
Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke

An alright conclusion. I just wish there was less hand wringing and dark thoughts that went around in circles. It made the plot feel thin and watered down.
The Heart of What Was Lost by Tad Williams

This book really hit right in the feels. Smaller in scope than most of his stories, it portrays an intimate look at both sides of two warring factions and makes the most of its short length. I can't stop thinking about these characters, that's for sure.
