I thought this book was better than the musical because how Evans anxiety was more shown. The writing style wasn't the best, i guess it was mediocore (???), but i wasn't really expecting anything different. But honestly the musical and the book feel like two different things because of so many things. BUT after reading more it was painfully obvious the musicals was better in so many ways. And this book should probably be read by fans who loved the musical. Also the mentions of the music and the jokes in the musical was so badly written (at least for me). I kinda/kinda not regret reading this book.
btw if you have any respect for Conners character, don't read this novel

I'm not the person to comment...
There was effort but I just couldn't enjoy it for the most part.

Grāmata nebija laba pat tiem kam patīk vēsture. Latviski sakot lielākais sviests. Pat nerunājot ka "traumatizeja" tas viens moments.

Pretty sure most people saw the movie already so this review will be depending from that.

A must for Coraline lovers. As people may already know this book is the same as the movie, but with more darker details that made the story better. Though the details changed the outlook of the whole feeling, so it would be worth it even if only for the details. Details differed from pretty bigger to smaller. Plus the book isn't very big so it was worth it.You should also
really check the theory videos after reading the book, I loved when people raved about their theories (me as well). I'm wanting to put 5* but that's because of me really liking the Coraline movie from a very young age (and discovering this at my teen age) and I'm trying not to make this biased.

The book was filled with raw emotion. The characters were very fleshed out. It kept me on my seat, this book is even good for those who don't like retellings. And for those who see things in their mind when they read, definitely give it a read, after I finished reading a chapter tried imagining it all and it was just so perfect. Just loved seeing the changes in characters. (and no this isn't a spoiler) anyway definitely give it a read.

Keeping this rather short because I am tired.

Starting with things I loved :
Characters, mostly the lesbians and Tavia(I felt drawn to Tavia most but I'm gonna talk about this later), the magic, the world building (it wasn't too confusing that's probably what I liked most about it), the characters relationships with one another, the action. These were the most important ones for me.

One problem with this book (that isn't really a problem) :
WESLEYS POINTS OF VIEWS, MANS WAS GETTING THEM TOO MUCH - as much as I liked seeing his pov, I wanted to see Tavia.
Her pov is a rare gem that's about 7 pages and this man gets chapters in a row. Kamran and Saxony got povs in a more timely matter but I'm not complaining about that.

This first book in the doulogy was more about learning the characters than the action but there was action there quite a bit. That wasn't a problem for me though, it may be for someone else.

!READ ALL THE NOVELLAS IN THE SERIES!
I liked seeing warner's point of view, seeing something new, more about him and his life story, his morals, his dreams, his motivations. I liked him as a character in the first book so like I feel like I enjoyed this novella better than romance readers.

It was great, it was Agatha Christie who wrote it. Pretty much sums it up but hey I will continue.
So the characters weren't developed too much but they were developed enough also it's a mystery so it's normal. The clues were great, loved some details, could've guessed some details some not (that could just be me though).

The book was good so like if you wanna read it you definitely should. But here's what I thought about it.
The characters just didn't really like draw me in. They were great but I did not really like was super psyched for them. I mean towards the end then yes, but yeahhh. There's pretty much no plot, the characters are the plot, so the rating is that way because of that. The book was great though, many people like it.

Pretty much nothing related to the book fully just wanna say.

I mean 10/10 for wanting to deck Taryn in her face

now the actual review
Nothing much to say just you see the view of point of Taryn, fun! And we realize what cardan said when Jude spotted Taryn crying next to Cardan. But it's a short read so probably you should read it. Then again the only plot point is just what Cardan said to Taryn.(which you could live without but like the suspense in the first book was killing me) To be fair I liked seeing her point of view to hate her more during the series.

btw sorry if I said something wrong I have not read the series yet. (Self explanatory but y'know not risking it)
