- absolute insanity

- a very engaging read and a FANTASTIC audiobook

- my only complaint is that while still enjoyable, jade’s storyline and perspective felt a bit out of place and not quite as engaging as the others

- my favorite storyline was nick’s, god bless him <3

some questionable moments, but overall a fun read.
idk if i’ll continue with the series as i’m not particularly interested in sloane’s storyline but i will definitely be reading from this author again.

i think my expectations played a role in my enjoyment of this book. i expected more of an emotional impact and more suspense (idk if that’s quite the right word) from The Project, and that wasn’t quite what i got. still a good read and will definitely be reading more from this author.

this book definitely took a minute for me to get invested in, but once that did happen, i really enjoyed it!
some things to note:
1) the audiobook for this wasn’t my favorite, my main issues were the voice used for juliette and the occasional inconsistencies between what the narrator was saying and the final copy of the book
2) it took until chapters 13/15 for me to get invested in the characters, i found the story itself engaging but it was slow moving on the character front for me
3) also, i really wish i had annotated this while reading! i feel like it would’ve enhanced my experience even more; perhaps one day i’ll reread it and annotate then

1.5 ⭐️ and all of it goes to eloise and the spice
———————————————————————————
……..i really did not like this relationship, or this books discussion of mental illness At All
having read some reviews, i would like to say that while i do wish eloise’s character was a bit more flushed out, i did like her (which is apparently an unpopular opinion). phillip, however, can **** ** ****.
