an imperfect book filled with imperfect characters and it was lovely and lonesome and gracious in its depiction of grief.
i feel that this could be a 5 star upon re-read.

i think othello is still my favorite of his tragedies that i’ve read thus far, but when i initially read this senior year of high school it was the first time i truly enjoyed shakespeare so it will always hold a special place for me

4.5 (i think), main gripe is the repeated mention of alex’s tiny-ness and how she’s oh so small and itty bitty and could fit it a mouse’s pocket, like i get it, she has a small frame, we can chill on the repeated mentions
