Vulgarisation at it's best. Simple, concise, thoughtful. Felt like a learned more here than at my economics classes. For once, such a topic seems comprehensible, and not hidden away behind layers of jargon and nonsense.

Some lectures were fire. Sometimes difficult to grasp what is going on.

Bit too academic for my taste. Would have loved a bit more geopolitics

This book didn't inspire me, nor did it give me the urge to jump full of energy and happiness. But it is a very comprehensible and thorough book about directing. I really enjoyed the practicality of it, which is quite rare in books. It is great to get prepared for a shoot with actors, and Judith is really good at putting the readers at ease. Always reminding us of the important parts.

It's nice. In the good sense of the word. It makes the world a nice place to adopt his way of seeing it.

1 or 2 chapters were a bit tedious to go through. But the rest were exquisite. His books are such nice reads, such fistfulls of thoughts to think.
