I really enjoyed this book. It had some of my favorite tropes

- Enemies to Lovers
- Billionaire Romance
- Forced Proximity
- One Bed (tent/sleeping bag)
- Women in STEM

Ty and Gwen were so great. I loved them as individuals (I loved Gwen the most) and I loved them together. There were so many times when I laughed out loud reading this book. The back and forth was so great. The side characters also had a personality and they actually played a role in the story.

I really enjoyed seeing the growth for Gwen and Ty as a couple and as individuals. They supported each other and there was a really sweet love story.

This is the second book I have read by Melanie Summers and it definitely will not be the last!

I really enjoyed this story. From the very first page, I was sucked in. I first started it at night after finishing up another book. That was a mistake. I wanted to stay up all night to read it, alas my body needs sleep to function.
I love how strong, kind, and thoughtful Ashley is.
I love how self-assured she is and how much conviction she has. Luke also seems so dreamy. This book was a spicy romance but also very empowering and woman forward. I really enjoyed the internal dialog in italics right next to the spoken words. It gave a whole new level of connection with Ashley's character.
It is very clear that Luke Dalton was written by a woman. He was perfect.

I am dying to know how this plays out!

I really enjoyed this story, I listened to it on audiobook, and it definitely kept my attention. The narrators were great, and the story was exciting!
I didn't really know how things were going to play out or how the dual timelines were going to intersect, but I think it came together rather nicely.

I am continually blown away by fairytale retellings. This book is proved to be no different. I read this book in two sittings (it would have been one if I didn't have to do mom stuff). I loved that I knew they would end up together but I also didn't know how the whole story was going to play out.

Some of the things I loved:
• Morally Grey MMC
• Strong FMC
• Found Family
• LGBTQ+ Rep
• Magical Elements
• Organized Crime
• The Side Characters
• The Character Development
• The Twist

What I didn't love:
• The dad 😑 he was such a meanie

This was so lovely. I started reading this and wasn't sure I was in the mood for it. I kept reading, and I'm so glad that I did. I was incredibly invested in the lives of these characters. I definitely teared up at the end. What a wonderful story. Heartbreaking but beautiful.

Parts of this book were absolutely thrilling, and I was so in it. I didn't ever feel like I needed to pick it up (I'm blaming book hangover for this), but once I started reading it, I didn't want to put it down.
I'm glad this ended up being the first book in the duology because it was getting close to the end and I was worried that it was not going to be a good ending, but now it feels like a great set up for the next book.

The spice! The spice 🥵 *chefs kiss*

I am all in on The Crow Lord and Lila 🫶🏻
