Oh. My. God. You want to talk about a twist?! I was listening to the audiobook version while at work. I was walking back to my desk when the first part of the twist was revealed and I had to come to a full stop to process it. And then the final twist? OH MY GOD. I practically ran to my boss’s office (who recently finished this book) and collapsed. This was so good. This was my second Freida McFadden book and, just, wow. Wow is all I can muster.

I really enjoyed this little memoir/self-help book. Firstly, I love Drew. Secondly, I just feel a little more empowered. Now, I’m not saying that this changed my life, but it definitely made an impact. It was nice to be reminded that I am (we all are) worth it and that self-doubt is so common, even in those folks you think have it all figured out. If you want a little boost, I highly recommend giving this a read.

This was my first Freida McFadden book and now I get it. I get the hype. I stayed up until 3AM just to finish this book. Now, I’ve never been good at figuring out twisted, but I will say I did catch on to a few things here and there. I also feel like I only caught onto them RIGHT before the main character did, so maybe I was just really invested. Anyway, I enjoyed this. It was a fast read (mostly because I couldn’t put it down) and the ending got me. Highly recommend.

The random CNC was absolutely out of pocket and not fun for me.

Firstly, let me say that I am literally a professional paranormal investigator. Seriously, I get paid to talk to ghosts. So, of course I had to read this. I also just love, LOVE (much like Benji). I thought this was an adorable read. I haven’t read a book in a while that made me feel a ton of feelings.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I can’t do  that much millennial. And, I am simply not an animal person. I hated the mayor; sorry! Also, I’m in that weird zillennial range, so I found some parts of the book a little cringe. But honestly, we’re all a little cringe. I mean, if you’re reading this, you might be thinking, “a professional paranormal investigator? Who cares?! How cringey to mention it!”
Anyway, I love, love. I love ghosts. I loved this book.

I’ve had this book on my shelf for a while and finally decided to pick it up. I enjoyed it for sure, but it wasn’t the 80s summer horror that I had in mind. It felt like it took a bit to get through the main storyline. Cute, grossed me out a few times, and I enjoyed the references.
