I was so excited for Kai's book, especially after I read the synopsis of King of Pride. I actually thought it was going to be a favourite. But it just disappointed me so much. I expected so much more out of it.
For a romance book, it was good. But not for what I expected out an Ana Huang book. I am just not loving this series as much as I loved the Twisted Series. I was so invested in the Twisted Series and I still love that one to bits. But this one is just not doing it for me. I really really really hope that King of Greed does it for me. I am excited about that one and I hope it redeems this series and makes me want to read the rest of it.

No words. Just, no words. I cannot possibly put into words the amount of love I have for this book and this series. I just cannot!

No words. Maybe a small review after I'm done sobbing/ugly crying? Just finished reading it at 2:00 AM in the night and I'm still sobbing... Be back later for the review...!

It's been almost 3 months since I read it, and I still do not have words for how I feel about this book. Since I read it, it has been constantly on my mind and there doesn't go a day where I don't think about this series. I have no words that can comprehend exactly how much I love Johnny and Shannon and everything that this series is.
My heart aches for Shannon and Joey and their family. She did not deserve to go through that.
Johnny... What can I say about him? He was what Shannon always needed in her life. He was her protector and her armour. He gave her the love and care she deserved. He stood like a fierce wall against everything that could possibly hurt her (atleast he tried to). He was just perfect.
Johnny and Gibsie are my favourite duo forever. I am so immersed in this series and I just cannot wait for Gibsie and Claire's book!

I do not know how I feel about this book. I wish I got more. They did not talk a lot. Atleast not until very late in the book. It was cute and all in some parts, but it did get boring in some other parts. I can't, for the life of me, recall a lot about this - which says a lot.
I just was left feeling like I wanted a lot more from it.

This is what I call a good mafia, enemies to lovers romance. When I say they were enemies, I do not mean they fell in love with each other from the second chapter of the book after hating each other in the first one. My girl ate a strawberry, knowing he was allergic to them, just for them to have their first kiss and for him to have a deathly reaction to it.
Their chemistry was mind-blowing and their banter was top-notch. I loved it so much. I ate this up!

Not even surprised about the fact that this was a 5 star read. I always knew that Cal was gonna make my heart ache but also make me fall in love with him way too hard. This was such a wholesome, beautiful story. To see all the Kane brothers together, to see the group chat between Zahra Iris and Cal... It was all just very wholesome.
Cal and Alana were so good together. My heart ached so much every time they couldn't be together. My heart ached so much for Cal for everything he went through, but also for Alana because of everything she had to go through too.
Lauren Asher is an amazing author and she has a very unique way of storytelling.
I did cry and laugh a lot while reading it. It was one of my most anticipated books of the year and it did not disappoint at all.
I am so sad to say goodbye to the dreamland billionaire world but I'm so excited for whatever Lauren Asher writes next.🤍

Idk what happened while I was reading this book, but I liked it a little bit too much!
I see why people would have complaints... The MMC being so cold one moment and then so warm the very next... It does get a bit annoying! But I still ate it up! I LOVEDDDD their chemistry!!!
Their fights did get a little bit too much for me... But all in all... I loved that it gave what I needed (a billionaire romance with spice, just a light, fun read) - although, that's just my opinion! That's how I took it! Doesn't mean you'll love it too or you'll find it light and fun too!
Jameson was annoying when he was cold to her... But man when he was trying to be sweet... I was swooning!!😂🩷

Such a cute book but also a bit heavy considering the serious topics that were discussed in it!
(Please do read the trigger warnings)

This was my first time reading from this author, and I'm impressed! I loved the chemistry between the characters, the friend group, and all the little and big romance book references!
I do think that it could've cut a little bit shorter and that's my only complaint from it!
All in all, I really liked it!

Minor spoiler :

I also think we have a Noah & Charlie book coming up soon and I am also excited for Theo's book too!!!

Unfortunately, this one just wasn’t for me… There were parts that I did enjoy reading and I might’ve liked it…. But it wasn’t the best.
It is very forgetful and I’ve already forgotten most of it…
I’m so upset that it wasn’t for me because I did really try to like this one. The chemistry wasn’t it and the amounts of time that Jack was being called BIG just bugged me more than it usually would 😂🤭
I did love TLH but this one wasn’t doing anything for me!

P.S : I do blame the fact that I read Happy Place before this and I have still not moved on from that one. But majorly it was the fact that I did not feel the chemistry between Jack and Elsie (I had to look up her name, cause I had already forgotten it)!!!

Also, just because I did not like reading something, doesn’t mean you wouldn’t too. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes and I hope you judge the book for yourself!! If you did like it, I’m so happy for you and I wish I could feel the same too!
